Tuesday August 24th 7-9pm
Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave Craig Co
Come join local outdoorsman and photographer Scott Patterson as he presents a slideshow on the hidden scenic wild lands and wonders of Moffat County.
The slideshow illustrates that Moffat County has places every bit as spectacular as Grand Canyon and Zion National Parks and that these Northwest Colorado gems deserve to be tourist attractions in their own right. Featuring photos of Scott and his family and friends exploring Moffat County's most rugged places, Scott's photos show that wilderness is for everyone and not just a select few.
Scott will also relate the story about his part in the discovery of Outlaw Arch in Dinosaur National Monument. Outlaw Arch was discovered by Scott Patterson and his hiking buddies while they were exploring wild Moffat County. The arch is one of the largest natural arches in the world and the biggest in the world discovered since 1950. The story of the discovery of Outlaw Arch has been featured in such prominent magazines as National Geographic-Adventure, Backpacker and 5280.
Brought to you by Colorado Environmental Coalition, The Wilderness Society and Friends of Northwest Colorado
