Vermillion Basin is at the heart of a complex system of public lands. These lands are facing serious threats. Some of the issues on which we work include:

- Insisting on balanced approach to energy development.
- Appropriate road use by recreationists.
- Encouraging the recognition and continued development of a strong, vibrant regional economy that features recreation, tourism and hunting on health public lands.
- Ensuring any new development -- such as oil shale extraction -- are proven and developed in the safest, most environmentally sustainable way possible.
